HTTP Error 500.19 - Internal Server Error (Unable to access PCE Console login page after an update)

Attempts to load the initial 'login' page of PCE Console after a software update shows an error similar to that below.

This is caused by a change in the way that IIS handles the 'default document' pointing to the 'home' page of a website.

This error can be immediately solved by using the full document path in the Browser, 'favourite' or shortcut.

HTTP:<<pce server name>>/pceconsole/login.aspx

Where <<pce server name>> is the name of your PCE server.

Alternatively, you can just append /login.aspx to the end of the failed web address.

To avoid the need for any changes, please download the following 'web.config' file and replace the existing one in the 'pceconsole' folder

Once the file is replaced, the login page will be displayed from a '/pceconsole' shortcut as before.
